How to Use a GameStop PS3 Remote on Your PC

PlayStation sells an official remote for use with their PS3 device. The remote looks exactly like a TV or DVD remote and is more intuitive for watching movies or Blu-Ray discs on your PS3 than the standard game controller. GameStop sells the official PS3 remote at its store, sometimes even at a discount if the remote is second-hand. As long as you are running Windows XP or later and have Bluetooth enabled on your PC, you can use the PS3 remote on your computer.

Update your Windows-based system, and ensure the .NET 2.0 Framework is installed. This only applies to XP-based machines because Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers already come with an update version of the .NET framework. Updating your XP system will automatically install this framework update.
