      Reset the modem and router, then wait approximately two minutes and turn on the PS3. It is now ready to access the Internet.

      Turn on the PS3, then select "PlayStation Network" from the menu, then "Sign In." A login window appears asking for your username and password.

      Enter your ID and password, then select "Sign In." You are now signed in to your account and ready to play online.

      Insert a PS3 game into the disc drive and wait for the game to load, then select the online option from the game's menu. The exact menu name and method for entering an online match varies by game. Consult the game's instruction manual to learn about its online mode.
