How to Switch Your PS3 From HDMI to Composite

The PlayStation 3 composite connection is the gaming console's most basic connection method. Where HDMI produces high-definition video, a composite connection outputs video in standard definition, or SD. The composite connection uses your TV's yellow video port and also its red (right) and white (left) audio ports. Disconnect the HDMI connection on your PS3 to switch the system to a composite output.
