I Can't Connect to My Friend's Rockband 2 on PS3

PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a video game console from Sony Entertainment. Owners of the console can purchase a variety of games to play on their device, including Rock Band 2. Players use controllers that resemble musical instruments to play classic rock songs through the console. With an Internet connection, players can also play with and against friends, also own Rock Band 2 on PS3. If you get a connection error while trying to connect to your friend, try power cycling the modem or creating a new player account.

     Turn off your modem. Leave it off for two minutes before restarting it. This power-cycles the modem and restarts your Internet connection.

     Press the "PS" button on the controller. The PlayStation 3 XBM (XrossMediaBar) launches.

     Click the "Users" tab.

     Click "Create a New User Account" and then press the "X" button on the controller.

     Enter a name for the new account.

     Log-in to the new account.

     Click the "Friends" tab.

     Click "Sign up for PlayStation Network" and press the "X" button on the controller.
