      Navigate to the PS3 Magic website and click on "Download" to download the PS3 Magic software to your computer. This software requires a fee to download.

      Copy the PS3 Magic software to a USB drive. Right-click on the software and select "Copy." Open your USB drive and select "Paste" to paste the software onto your USB drive. You can also burn the software to a CD if you would like. Burn the software to a CD by selecting the file and dragging it into the CD window to burn it to the disc.

      Insert the USB drive into your PlayStation 3 or the CD you burned. The software will boot once the system is started.

      Select "Windows XP" when prompted by the software to install Windows XP to your PlayStation 3 console
