How to Get a PS3 to Recognize the Mass Storage Controller

All models of the Sony PlayStation 3 have two different USB ports located on the front of the device. These drives are primarily used for connections to your controllers, but it is also possible to connect USB-based storage controllers (USB flash drives, external hard drives) to the gaming platform. This allows you to transfer files between gaming systems and even add additional storage to the PS3.
