How to Open the PS3 Console Window

Playing games and movies is just a small piece of what the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) can do. Besides playing music and other files off portable music players, the PS3 can also be used to browse the Internet. To access the PS3's browser, you have to open it from the XMB, the PS3's main menu.

Instructions

      Turn the PS3 on by pressing the power button on the front of the console. You can also press the "PS" button in the middle of a PS3 controller to turn the system on.

      Move left or right until you end up on the "Network" tab.

      Highlight the "Internet Browser." Press the "X" button on the controller to open the browser.

      Type in a Web address. Click the URL bar at the top of the screen and press "Start" to visit the site.
