Playstation 3 Remote Instructions

Sony manufactures a remote control for the Playstation 3 game console which you can purchase separately from the unit. This remote comes in handy because, not only does the PS3 play video games, it plays Blue Ray movies as well. The best part is that learning how to use the remote doesn't take much time, so you can start watching movies soon after you get your remote.

  Turn the remote over, slide the battery door off of the rear of the unit and insert the two included AA batteries.

  Turn on your PS3 console and use the PS3 controller to select "Settings" from the options in the main menu screen.

  Select "Accessory Settings" from the list of options and then select "Register BD Remote Control."

  Press the "X" button and the remote will automatically link with the console. Follow the prompts on screen to complete the setup.

  Insert a disc in the PS3 and use the labeled buttons on the top of the screen to control the system. For example the "Play" button will play the disc, the "Eject" button will eject the disc and the "Subtitle" button will display subtitles on screen.
