How to Swap a Memory Card Slot

When you create a virtual memory card on the PlayStation 3 for either the PSOne or the PS2 systems, those cards are assigned a virtual "slot." This virtually mimics the physical memory card slots that were on the front of the older consoles. If you want to swap a memory card slot and change which "slot" one of your virtual cards is loaded into, you can do this via the PS3's menu system.

     Turn on your Sony PlayStation 3.

   • 2

     Select the "Game" option from the menu.

   • 3

     Choose "Memory Card Utility."

   • 4

     Highlight the memory card that you want to swap the slot for and press the "Triangle" controller button. Select the numbered slot that you want to use and press the "X" controller button to finish swapping the memory card slot on your PlayStation 3.
