How to Play the PS3 Wireless Guitar

Games like Guitar Hero and Rockband use wireless plastic guitars to play the game instead of the traditional controller for PS3. The music games are all about timing and coordination. You have to know when to press the notes and strum the guitar at the right time, pay attention to power ups and notes that are incoming, as well as be able to use multiple notes at once. After mastering the guitar at an easy level, you can start to increase the difficulty.

Instructions

  Adjust the neck strap so the guitar fits comfortably around your chest. If you're right handed, the guitar neck will be held by your left hand and the base by your right hand.

  Place the four fingers of your left hand over the colored buttons at the top. First finger on the green button, pinky finger on the blue button.

  Place your right hand over the base with your thumb hovering over the strum bar.

  Start the song in the game.

  Press the colored note and strum the strum bar simultaneously as the colored note hits the line at the bottom of the screen. You may have to do more than one note at a time. A long line after a note means you must hold the note down. After gaining "star power" you can add extra points to your game.

  Tilt the guitar neck up in the air to activate the power.

  Shake the whammy bar when you have to hold a note in long succession to gain extra points.
