     Turn on your PS3, and sign into the PlayStation Network.

     Open your Xross Media Bar.

     Select the "Friends" icon from the bar that stretches across the screen. Click "Add a Friend."

     Enter the username of the friend you deleted in the "To" field. Add a personal message, such as "Add me!"

     Click "Send."
