How to Play PS3's Grand Theft Auto IV Online

"Grand Theft Auto IV" is an action-adventure game set in a large open world. The single-player and multiplayer portions of the game take place in the same environment and include many of the same objectives. Races, gang wars and free roaming are the primary multiplayer modes, with submodes built around them. Up to 16 players can be supported simultaneously, although some game modes are restricted to less.

      Press the "Up" button on the directional pad while in game to bring up the cell phone.

      Press "Down" on the directional pad, highlight "Multiplayer" and press the "X" button.

      Highlight the game mode you want to play and press the "X" button. Some of the options include Team Deathmatch, Team Mafiya, Turf Wars and Free Mode. Each game mode has its own list of rules and objectives which are defined and displayed before you select the game.
