The Playstation 3 is a videogame system developed by Sony. The device allows you to play videogames, surf the Internet, download new movies and games, and even compete against other players. The system also comes equipped with a high definition Blu-Ray DVD player so you can enjoy watching high quality film material. The system comes packaged with a few components, including a wireless controller. You can set everything up in a few steps.

  Open the system's box and place all the components on a flat and hard surface. Read the owner's manual so that you are familiar with all the pieces and also to make sure that nothing is missing.

  Plug the AC adapter into a wall socket. Then connect the other end of the cord into the rear side of the game system. This will allow the device to receive energy from a main source.

  Attach the audio/video cable into the corresponding sockets on your television, matching tyhe color of each cable with the color on the television's input jacks. Connect the other end of the cord to the rear side of your Playstation 3 system. Connect the controller to the system using the attachment wire.

  Press the "Power" button to turn on the system. You will then be taken to the main desktop screen where you can create a user account. You can also set up the date and time, and manage all the system settings.

  Insert a Blu-ray or PS3 game disc into the disc holder. A prompt will automatically appear and allow you to begin watching or playing the disc. Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the game. If you are playing a movie, press the "Triangle" button at any time to get a list of options.
