How to Remove & Replace a Blu-Ray in a PS3

Taking a Blu-ray out of a PlayStation 3 and putting in a new disc isn't as simple as it would be on a standalone Blu-ray player. For starters, unless you have purchased the optional Blu-ray remote from Sony, you will be using the Dual Shock 3 controller to perform all actions, including ejecting the disc. Secondly, the new disc you put in won't play automatically -- you have to manually select it from your PlayStation 3's menu system.

Instructions

  Click "Video" from your PlayStation 3's main menu.

  Highlight the entry for the Blu-ray disc that is currently in your PlayStation 3 and press the triangle controller button. Select "Eject Disc." This will eject the disc from your PlayStation 3.

  Remove your Blu-ray disc and replace it with another disc that you would like to watch.

  Click "Video" from your PlayStation 3's main menu.

  Scroll down to and highlight the entry for the new Blu-ray disc that you have inserted into your PlayStation 3. Press "X" to play that disc.
