My PlayStation Eye Does Not Work With My PS3

Released by Sony in 2007, the PlayStation Eye is a peripheral exclusive to the PlayStation 3 gaming console, and it functions like a computer webcam. Some games require the PlayStation Eye to access certain features in those games or to even play, such as "Eye of Judgment." If your PlayStation Eye peripheral doesn't work properly with your PS3 console, either of two factors can be at play.

      Use the PlayStation Eye on another console. If the peripheral continues to not function, the problem may be with the device. If it does function, the problem is with the console.

      Establish a PlayStation Network profile if you do not have one. Navigate to "Sign Up" under the "PlayStation Network" menu and fill out the form on-screen.

      Update your PlayStation 3 console. Select "System Update" under "Settings."
