How to Set a PlayStation 3 Back to HDMI

Sony's PlayStation 3 lets users play games, view photos and watch movies in high definition for a sharp picture and clear sound. If your television supports high definition and your PlayStation 3 is connected to it using an HDMI cable, you can enable the HDMI setting on the system. You may have temporarily set your system to another video input and want to set it back to HDMI. This can be done in a few seconds by using the "Power" button on the PlayStation 3.

  Turn off the PlayStation 3, if it is on, by holding down the "PS" button on the controller, or by using the "Power" button on the system.

  Hold down the "Power" button on the PlayStation 3 system for several seconds. You hear two beeps. This indicates that the system is resetting its video input.

  Press the "Power" button to turn the system back on. It may take several seconds for the system to power on. You will be notified that an HDMI device is detected and asked if you want to use the HDMI setting. Choose "Yes." Select "Yes" two more times and the system will reset, now using the HDMI input.
