How to Get Music Files From an iMac on a PS3

Not only is the PlayStation 3 capable of playing DVDs, CDs and Blu-ray discs, it can also import music. Transfer music files from your iMac to your PlayStation 3 to enjoy your favorite tracks on the gaming system. When you import CD tracks to the PS3, the files are saved to the gaming console's hard disk drive. Before you can enjoy music files on the PlayStation 3, you'll need to burn the files to a CD with your iMac.

Instructions

      Insert a blank CD into your iMac disc drive. The disc's icon will appear on your desktop.

      Double-click the icon to open the CD's window.

      Launch another Finder window and locate the music files you want to transfer.

      Drag and drop the music files from their current location into the blank CD window.

      Open the "File" menu. Select "Burn Disc."

      Insert the burned CD into your PS3.

      Turn on the PS3. The main screen will load. Select the CD icon.

      Press the "Triangle" button on your controller.
