Instructions
Decide which type of connection you're using. If you're using a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable into the "Ethernet" port on the back of the PS3 and to any available Ethernet port on the router.
Select the "Settings" icon on the main menu, then choose "Network Settings." Enable the "Internet Connection" option. Scroll down to "Internet Connection Settings" and select "Wired" or "Wireless." When asked if you want to continue, select "Yes."
Select "Easy" as the connection method. Select "Wired Connection" or "Wireless" as the connection type. If you're connecting to a wireless router, select "Scan" and select the name of your wireless network. Leave the default name as its presented on screen and enter the wireless password (if any).
Press the "X" button to save the settings. Select "Test Connection." Upon completion of the test, the PS3 will be connected to the router and your Internet connection.
