How to Hook up Your Playstation 3 to a Router

The Playstation 3 (PS3) includes an Ethernet port for wired connections and a built-in wireless adapter for wireless connections. If your router supports one or the other, the PS3 can connect to it. Wired connections are usually more reliable, as they do not suffer from the wireless interference contributed by other wireless peripherals. Once connected, the PS3 will have access to online matchmaking, downloadable content (such as games) and third party services like Netflix.
