How to Get a Faster Stream to My PS3 With Nero 8

The Sony PlayStation 3 isn't only designed to produce video games but also to playback musical CDs, blu-ray discs and even self-created DVDs. If you used Nero 8 to create a DVD at home, it is possible to achieve an improved video/audio playback on the television and PS3 by adjusting the streaming and burn method used by the Nero DVD creation software.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the blank DVD into the DVD burner of your computer, then open Nero 8.

    • 2

Choose "Video DVD" as the creation formation, then click "Add Files" and choose the video files you want to play on the disc. Once the content is uploaded select "Options" and choose "Burn Speed." Select the slowest creation speed available to you. Faster burner speeds tend to actually spread out the data saved on a DVD, which slows down the stream while playing back (like handwriting information fast -- you finish quicker but it is sloppier and takes up more room).

    • 3

Click "Burn," and the information you selected is written onto the blank DVD. Because you have the slowest write speed selected, it is going to take several minutes to finish the disc.

    • 4

Eject the finished DVD and insert it into the PS3. Choose the inserted disc from the Video options menu on the PS3, and the DVD plays back on the television screen with a superior video/audio stream.
