How to Use Ion Drums With Guitar Hero World Tour for the PS3

The Drum Rocker is a drum controller manufactured by Ion Audio for the "Rock Band" game series. The PlayStation 3 version of the Drum Rocker is compatible with "Guitar Hero World Tour." The controller works identically for both games due to the similarities between the franchises. The Ion Drum Rocker is a wired controller, so the "Guitar Hero" wireless receiver dongle does not have to be connected to the system.

Instructions

  Insert "Guitar Hero World Tour" into your PlayStation 3 console.

  Plug the colored cables connected to the drum pads into the center panel of the Drum Rocker. The cables go into the matching color ports. There are two yellow, green and blue ports. Plug into the port marked as "Drums." The other port of the same color is used if you want to install the optional cymbals.

  Plug the USB cable connected to the central panel into the USB port on the console.

  Press the "PlayStation" button on the center of the panel to turn the Drum Rocker on.

  Use the direction pad and buttons on the center panel to navigate the menus.

  Hit the drum pads with the drum sticks to play the matching color note. Press the pedal to play the bass drum notes.
