How to Use Earphones With PS3

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a home console system that allows you to play video games, media, movies and music. While the system does not have an external headphone jack for earphones, the PS3 does support USB devices, such as USB earphones.      Plug the USB earphones into the USB port on your PS3 and allow your system to detect the new accessory.

     Launch your PS3's main menu and select "Settings."

     Set your USB headphones as the default output device and confirm the new settings. Your PS3 will now output all sounds through your USB headphones instead of the television speakers.
