How to Reboot the PlayStation 3

When your PlayStation 3 is unresponsive or is not performing as usual, rebooting it may be necessary. A simple reboot often fixes small problems and gets the console running smoothly again. Unlike computers and some game consoles, the PlayStation 3 does not have a "Restart" button. Therefore, it must be completely shut down before it is restarted.      Press the "Power" button on the front of the PlayStation 3. The power indicator light begins to flash green as the system shuts down.
