How to Update the Codex on a PS3

Keeping your PS3 up to date is vital so that you can listen to audio files and watch videos. This process does not only update your PlayStation's system but it also addresses many codec issues. A codec is an application that encodes an analog speech or video signal into digital form for transmission and decodes it at the receiving end to allow successful playback on your PS3 game system.
