How to Hook a PlayStation 3 Up to a Pioneer Receiver

The PlayStation 3 is a home video game system capable of playing CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, in addition to regular home video games designed for the console. Because of its ability to display high-definition content, when you connect your PS3 to your Pioneer home theater receiver you're going to want to use an HDMI cable. HDMI cables are capable of passing along uncompressed, high-definition digital audio and video signals from one device to another.
