How to Use the Playstation Eye for Playstation 3

The Sony PlayStation 3 has many optional accessories for it. One of them is the PlayStation Eye, a camera that can be used to play video games like the card game "Eye of Judgment." Besides using the Eye for games, you can also use it for video chats. The camera is designed to be easy to install no mater what you are using it for.

Play PlayStation Eye Game

  Plug the PlayStation Eye's USB cable into an open USB port on the PlayStation 3.

  Place the PlayStation Eye on top or below the TV.

  Turn the PlayStation 3 on.

  Insert the PlayStation Eye compatible video game.
Use PlayStation Eye on Video Chat

  Select "Friends" on the PS3's main menu. Select "Start New Chart."

  Choose "Voice/Video Chat." Select "Invite a Friend."

  Highlight the friend you want to chat with and click "Enter" to invite the friend into a chat. Insert a message and click "Send." The friend will be invited. When the invite is accepted, your camera will display an image on their TV.

  Quit a chat by clicking the "Leave" button.
