How to Connect Guitar Hero III to a PS3

"Guitar Hero 3" is a music simulator that allows you to play along to your favorite songs using a guitar peripheral. The guitar peripheral is modeled after an actual guitar and includes a strum and fret buttons that act as strings. The PS3 guitar for "Guitar Hero 3" is a wireless model that must first be paired to the PS3 to start playing. Included with the guitar is a wireless dongle that is used to connected to the guitar wirelessly.

Instructions

  Turn on the PS3. Connect the wireless dongle (the small, square-shaped device) to either of the USB ports on the PS3. Press the button on the front of the wireless dongle. The light on the dongle will flash red, indicating that it is not yet connected to the guitar.

  Press the "PS" button on the guitar. The lights on both the guitar and wireless dongle will flash.

  Press the "PS" button on the guitar. The lights on both the guitar and wireless dongle will flash. When the lights stabilize, the guitar is paired with the wireless dongle and is ready for use.
