How to Pair a Sony PlayStation 3 Remote Control for the Second Time

The Playstation 3 has a standard Blu-Ray player; the remote control is an available accessory for the system, the sole purpose of which is to control the Blu-Ray so that you don't have to use the Playstation 3's game controller while watching movies. According to the remote's manual, you may have to pair the remote to the Playstation 3 for a second time if you have paired the remote to another device.

  Grab your Playstation 3 remote control. Turn the Playstation 3's "Power" switch on. Wait for the system's main menu to load.

  Select "Settings" using your Playstation 3's game controller, and then select "Accessory Settings."

  Select "Register BD Remote Control." Push the "X" button on your Playstation 3 controller.

  Follow the on-screen prompts to pair the controller. These prompts may vary between Playstation 3 models and depending on the version of the operating software. You may be asked to press specific buttons on the remote control in order to pair it. When you complete the prompts, the remote control is paired.
