The PlayStation 2 was released in 2000 and initially featured cutting edge graphics for its time. However, what qualified as great graphics back then became outdated which made PlayStation 2 look graphically dull. If you own a launch model PlayStation 3 with PlayStation 2 backwards compatibility, there is a way to edit the graphics on your PS2 games to allow them to appear slightly better on a high definition television.
