Sony released the first version of the PlayStation 3 back in 2006 and has since developed variations of the console. No matter what version of the PlayStation 3 you own, you can install small games to the PlayStation 3 hard drive. Playing these games is similar to playing a disc game; the only difference between the two is the location from which you must begin the game.

Turn on the PlayStation 3.

Navigate over to the "Game" menu.

Navigate down to the installed PlayStation 3 game you want to play and press "X."
