How to Remove SingStar Scores

SingStar is the premiere competitive karaoke game for PlayStation consoles, with millions of fans the world over. Using a microphone, players must work to follow the onscreen pitch, racking up points whenever they can match up to the original track. Dozens of disc-based versions are available, and players can purchase additional content online and create their own musical experience.



SingStar keeps track of statistics, including high scores. If you want to remove someone's scores, however, you have only one option. All SingStar game data must be removed, as there is no in-game function to remove individual scores. Once it's on the board, it's there forever. Or at least until you re-install game discs and purchased content--which can be re-downloaded for free. If you want to get rid of the high scores, you've got to start over from scratch.

     Navigate to the Game menu from the home PlayStation 3 menu.

     Select the Saved Data Utility.

   • 3

     Find and delete the SingStar data.

   • 4

     Return to the Game menu.

   • 5

     Select the Game Data Utility.

   • 6

     Delete the SingStar data again.

   • 7

     Re-install the SingStar discs. If applicable, go the PlayStation Store to re-download purchased songs.
