Look and Feel
The SCPH-98050PS3 controller is the controller that comes packaged with the PS3 console. Each controller comes in a matte black finish with the full 17 buttons you need to play any game. When compared to other systems' controls, the PS3 controller weight is about average, not being much heavier or lighter than the other two systems.
Charging
The PS3 controller is a USB-based controller that can be plugged into the PS3 system with a micro-USB cable. The controller does not have a removable battery, which is a good thing and a bad thing. The good is that you do not need to constantly purchase batteries for it. The bad is when the battery dies, as in the lithium runs dry, you need to purchase a new controller as the battery is not accessible.
Connection
Connecting the PS3 controller to the PS3 system is made possible by the PS3's Bluetooth radio. The controller has a "PS" center button that, when pressed, connects it to your PS3. For new PS3 controllers, you need to simply connect the PS3 controller to the console via a USB cable, and press the center "PS" button.
