TVersity
Open "TVersity" on your computer. Ffdshow (codec pack) will also be installed automatically. Click the "Settings" button.
Click "Only When Needed" for "When to transcode." Click "1280x720" for "Image" and "Video" quality. Uncheck "Windows Media Encoder." Click "Minimum" for "Compression" and "Quality" for "Optimization."
Turn on your PS3 and select the "TVersity" icon in the "Video" section. TVersity will automatically add your videos from your computer to its server by searching the most common folders (for example, the Video folder).
Select the video you want to watch on the PS3 and it will begin to play.
PS3 Media Center X
Open "PS3 Media Center X" on your computer and select the "Add" button on the top part of the main window.
Navigate to the directory where your videos are saved on your computer. Click "OK" to add it to the Media Center X video server.
Turn on your PS3 and select the "PS3 Media Center X" icon which is located in the "Video" section of the PS3 menu. A list of available videos will be displayed.
Select the video to watch.
Windows Media Player 11
Open Windows Media Player 11. Click onto the "Library" button on the top of the main menu.
Right-click the "Library" selection that appears. Click on "Media Sharing" and select the folders you would like to share. These would be the folders that you have your video files in.
Click "Enable Media Sharing" and click "OK." Turn on your PS3 and your PS3 will see the media server from your computer.
Navigate to the "Video" section on the PS3 menu and select the "Window Media Server" icon. A window will appear on your computer asking you if the PS3 is allowed to connect to the media server. Click "Allow."
Browse the available files on your PS3 and select one with the "X" button to watch.
