How Do You Change the Video Output on a PS3 When It Cannot Get a Picture?

Changing the video settings of your PlayStation 3 is normally accomplished via the "Display Settings" menu. Occasionally, your PlayStation 3 may have an error and display a blank screen. When nothing is displayed on-screen, this usually means that the PS3 is outputting video through the wrong port. For example, your PS3 may be connected to your television via an HDMI cable, but the PS3 is outputting through the RCA cables. In that scenario, you will see only a blank screen on your television.
