How to Play DVDs with a PlayStation 3 Controller

Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3) not only has the ability to play video games but also to play DVDs and Blu-ray DVDs and connect to the Internet. The PS3's Blu-ray DVD player allows for high definition 1080p resolution movies and theater quality audio. The PS3's easy-to-use controller not only operates video games but also controls the DVD player.

Instructions

  Press the "Power" button on your PlayStation 3 and press the "Eject" button to open the deck.

  Insert the DVD into the PS3's deck and press the "Eject" button again to retract the deck. The PS3's menu screen should appear on the television screen with the movie in a small box on the screen.

  Move the directional pad on your controller left or right until the movie is highlighted on the screen.

  Press the "X" button on the PS3's controller to play the movie. Press "Start" on the controller to pause the movie and press "X" again to resume play. Press "O" to exit the movie.
