How to Make a 20GB PS3 Wireless

Today many people use the PlayStation 3 for online gaming, surfing the Internet or gain access to the PlayStation store in order to download games, desktop themes and movies. The best thing about the PlayStation 3 is that every console has a built-in wireless networking adapter that allows you to connect your PS3 to a wireless network. If your PS3 is in one room and your network router is in another, then going wireless is probably your best option.

      Select "Settings" from the "XMB" screen. Under "Settings," go to "Network Settings" and press the "X" button on your PS3 controller.

      Select "Internet Connection" and the select "Enabled." Then go to "Internet Connection Settings" and press the "X" button on your controller. If your are already connected to the Internet via an Ethernet cable, your PS3 will warn you that you will be disconnected from the Internet.

      Choose "Yes" and then "Easy" from the "setting method" selection. When prompted to choose a connection method, select "Wireless."

      Select "Scan" under the "WLAN Settings and select your "SSID." The SSID (Service Set Identifier) is the name that is assign to the "access point" of your home network. Once you've selected the correct "SSID", press the "right-direction" button on your PS3 controller.

      Select your networks security settings under the "WLAN Security Setting" and press the "X" button to enter your networks encryption key.

      Review your network settings. If everything looks correct, press the "X" button to save your wireless network settings. Once your settings have been saved, press the "X" button again to test your connection. It the test was successfully completed, you will see "Succeeded" nest to "IP Address" and "Internet Connection."
