How to Download Blu-Ray Movies to a PS3

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a home video-game console created by Sony Computer Entertainment and is the third such console in the PlayStation series. One of the best features of the PS3 is the PlayStation Store. The PlayStation Store is an online market place that allows PS3 owners to download (purchase or for free) downloadable content such as video games, demos, themes and wallpapers for your PS3. You can even download high definition movies from the PlayStation Store (for rent or purchase) and watch them on your PlayStation 3.

Instructions

  Turn on your PS3 and select the PlayStation Network within the XMB menu screen. Using the analog stick on your controller, to scroll over to PlayStation Network. Under PlayStation Network, select PlayStation Store.

  Allow the PlayStation Store screen to open and use the analog stick on the controller, to click on the tab at the top of the screen to change the menu from Games to Video. Under the Video menu, select "Available in HD." When the screen opens, you'll see three options: New HD arrivals, Movies in HD and TV shows in HD.

  Choose the HD movie that you want to download and add the video to your shopping cart. Open up your Shopping Cart. Inside the Shopping Cart you are given three main options: delete, continue shopping and proceed to checkout. If you are satisfied with the movie you've selected, then choose the "proceed to checkout" option.

  Wait for the HD movie to download from the PlayStation Network. After the movie has been successfully downloaded, the movie will be displayed in the XMB menu screen under Video.

  Wait for the HD movie to install. Once the movie has been installed successfully, your new HD will be ready.
