Things You'll Need
Instructions
Browse the Internet by making sure you have a strong wireless signal in your house. In systems setting you will be prompted by the PS3 to configure your wireless connection. Once configured to your wireless signal you can choose Internet Explorer from the menu. Here you can search by using the controller to select from an on-screen keyboard. If you are going to be doing a lot of typing you may choose to purchase a keyboard that plugs into your PS3.
Store your photos on the PS3. Just like using your computer to store photos, you can do the same with a PS3. Plug your camera into one of the USB ports and upload your photos to the system. You will need to configure the system to read your camera by using the formatting software that came with your camera.
Play music with your PS3 by simply putting the CD into the disc slot. This option can enhance the sound quality if you have your TV and PS3 hooked up to surround sound. Because the PS3 uses an HDMI cable for audio and video, your sound will be in high definition quality.
Watch Blu-ray movies on your PS3. No longer do you have to put a DVD and hook it up to your TV. Now you can watch high definition movies on your TV through the PS3. Watching movies via Netflix is also an option you have. You can instantly watch movies that are downloaded to your PS3. Talk about never leaving the house.
Network with your friends and others online. This is a function that can now be used on the PS3 instead of your computer. In the PS3 menu you can choose to network and play games online with others. This option is useful for when you have multi-player games and don't have anyone else to play with you.
