How to Connect a PS3 to a Vizio Plasma HDTV

The Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) supports multiple display options for HDTVs. All of the Vizio plasma HDTVs feature either component or HDMI inputs (or both). Component and HDMI are the highest-quality display interfaces available for the PS3 and will look best on an HDTV. A PS3 will work with any standard HDMI cable, but not with standard component cables; to use a component cable, you need one that is specific to the PS3 because of its unique input. The PS3 does not come with an HDMI or component cable included.
