How to Enable Pairing on a PS3 Bluetooth

To be able to pair the PS3 Bluetooth headset to the PS3 system, Bluetooth discovery mode must be enabled on both devices. Bluetooth discovery mode, or pairing mode, allows the headset to ̶0;speak̶1; with the PS3 so they can always connect with each other when the headset is enabled from that point on. The headset on a PS3 can be used to speak with team mates in a multiplayer online match or to chat with friends over the game system.

Instructions

      Charge the headset fully before attempting to pair it with a PS3 or any other device. The headset should be fully charged after two hours.

      Turn on your PS3 system and one controller.

      Navigate to ̶0;Settings,̶1; ̶0;Accessory Settings,̶1; and then ̶0;Manage Bluetooth Devices̶1; from the home screen.

      Select ̶0;Yes̶1; to pair a new Bluetooth device.

      Press and hold the ̶0;Power̶1; button on the headset.

      Wait for the ̶0;Power̶1; button LED and the ̶0;Mic/Mute̶1; button LED to flash alternatively. This lets you know the headset is in pairing mode.

      Select ̶0;Start Scanning̶1; on the PS3.

      Choose ̶0;Wireless Headset̶1; from the list of in range Bluetooth devices.

      Enter the PS3 headset passkey, which is ̶0;0000,̶1; to finish the pairing.
