How to Remove Games From a PS3's Memory

If you want to make some room on your PS3 hard drive, you may need to delete some of the old game information you have saved. Of course, you do not want to remove games that you are still playing, but this is a way that you can start clearing space to download more games to your system. Also, if you have saved game information that you no longer need, you can delete those files as well.

     Turn on your PS3 and one controller.

     Hover over "Game" on the home screen.

   • 3

     Select "Game Data Utility."

   • 4

     Choose the game you wish to remove.

   • 5

     Press the triangle button on your PS3 controller and select "Delete."

   • 6

     Press the "X" button to confirm that you want to delete the game and wait until the game deletes.
