Visit the CNET website to download the 3herosoft PS3 Video Converter. Click on the "Download Now" link located on the upper left side of the screen and click on the "Save File" tab on the pop-up box. Follow the prompts to complete the installation process. Once the installation process has finished, launch the 3herosoft PS3 Video Converter program by clicking on its icon located on your desktop.
Click on the "File" option located on the top of the 3herosoft PS3 Video Converter program menu, and then select "Add." Once the "Add" window pops up, browse to the folder and location where you have the Quicktime (MOV) file you want to play on your PS3. Click on the Quicktime file to select it and then click on "Open." The Quicktime file you selected will now be added to the program's conversion list.
Edit the file as desired by clicking on the "General" option located on the upper left side of the program's conversion window. For instance, you can modify the duration, video size, frame rate and buffer size.
Click on the red circle which is the "Convert" tab once you are ready to convert the Quicktime file into a PS3 compatible format.
Plug the USB Flash Drive in your computer and click on "Open folder to view files" when the "AutoPlay" window pops-up. Proceed to locate the PS3 compatible file you just converted, click on it and drag it to the USB Flash Drive window.
Pull the USB Flash Drive from your computer and insert it on one of the two USB ports located on the front of your PS3 console. Turn your PS3 on and select the USB device displayed on your PS3 menu by pressing the triangle button on the controller. Select the "Display All" option and choose the Quicktime file you converted to begin playing it.
