How to Connect a Playstation With a Direct TV Receiver

Sony PlayStation video game consoles provide gamers with a variety of games to play on their televisions. Hooking up a PlayStation to a DirecTV setup does not involve any direct connection from the game system to the satellite receiver, since there is no input on the DirecTV receiver to use. The PlayStation connects directly to the television set using the cord provided with all of the gaming systems. All you need on your TV is the available inputs.

  Turn off your television and do not plug in your PlayStation system until you finish all your connections.

  Check the back of the television for available A/V (audio/video) inputs. These inputs include one yellow (video); one white and one red (audio) marked IN. Use the A/V inputs on the front of the television, if none are available in the back.

  Connect the end of the supplied A/V cable that has one connector to the back of the PlayStation system in the AV Multi OUT jack.

  Connect the other end of this cable with the red, white and yellow connectors to the A/V input jacks on your television.

  Plug in your PlayStation and turn on your television and game system. Use your TV remote to change the source or input until you locate the one showing your PlayStation.
