How to Upload Videos From a PS3

The PS3 is compatible with the AVI and MPEG4 video file formats, both supported by most digital video viewing software for computers. If you'd like to upload the videos from your PS3 to your computer, all you will need is a digital USB storage device like a flash drive or external hard drive. With the proper equipment and, if you happen to be uploading a large number of videos, a little bit of patience, uploading videos from your PS3 is easy.

  Connect your USB Flash drive to your PS3.

  Navigate to the "Video" menu and scroll down to the video that you want to copy. Press the Triangle button and select the "Copy" option. Choose the USB flash drive as the file destination.

  Remove the USB flash drive or external hard drive from the PS3 and connect it to your computer. Explore the device by opening My Computer and double-clicking the respective icon. Watch the video by double clicking it or copy it to your computer by dragging and dropping it to your desktop or other folder on your computer.
