How to Clear the PS3 Browser History

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) system offers a full-featured Internet browser that allows users to surf the Web on a television. Use the browser to check email or visit any website. Just like the Internet browser on your computer, data from the websites you visit is stored on the PlayStation 3 system. Words or phrases that you search for are also stored in the console&'s history. This data can easily be deleted to prevent other people from viewing your browsing habits.

Instructions

      Go to the PS3&'s main menu. Press and hold the controller&'s triangle button to bring up the “Options” menu. Go down to “History” and press the "X" button. A list of your visited websites will appear.

      Press the triangle button in the “History” menu. You are now given the option to “Delete All.” Press the "X" button. You will be asked to confirm the deletion. Choose “Yes” if you are ready to delete the history. Return to the system&'s main menu.

      Scroll to the “Settings” menu and select “System Settings.” Scroll down until you see the option to “Delete Predicative Text Dictionary.” Press the "X" button. You&'ll be asked to confirm; press "X" again to choose “Yes.” This deletes everything you have searched for on the browser, so the information will not appear the next time you search.
