How to Switch a PS3 From an HDMI

While the PS3 supports both standard audio/video and HDMI outputs, one thing it does not do is automatically switch back and forth between the two video outputs. Because of this, it can be slightly confusing when you are trying to switch back from HDMI to regular A/V output. Fortunately, the PS3 is capable of switching back in only a few simple steps.

      Plug the A/V cable into your PS3 and connect the other end to your TV, then turn on your TV.

      Turn off your PS3, then push the power button on the front of the PS3 console and hold it down.

      Keep the power button pressed down for approximately five seconds. You will hear a "beep" noise from the PS3. The "beep" signifies that the video settings for the PS3 have been reset.

      Select the video settings you wish to use from here on out on your TV screen.
