How to Share Files on My PS3 & Wireless Computer

If your Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) and your Windows-based computer are connected to the same wireless network, you can share files between the two devices using a native Windows tool called Windows Media Player. This program allows you to access all of your video, audio and even picture files on both devices. You&'ll no longer have to burn content to a CD or DVD in order to access it on your PS3.

Instructions

Click "Start," "All Programs" and "Windows Media Player."

    • 2

Drag your desired media files into the Media Player window. These files will automatically be added to Windows Media Player&'s Library. You can double-check and make sure the files were added by clicking "Music" for audio files, "Videos" for video clips and "Pictures" for images.

Click on the "Stream" button at the top of Windows Media Player. Click "Turn on Media Streaming with HomeGroup." Click "Save Changes" in the window that appears.
