How to Download Flash for a PS3

The PlayStation 3 home entertainment console can do a lot more than just play games. It has a Blu-ray disc drive, music and movie playback, and an Internet browser, too. But you need the latest version of the Adobe Flash software to properly view some websites. The PS3&'s Flash software updates alongside the rest of the system software, so you need to make sure your PS3 system is up to date.

  Select the "System Update" option from the "Settings" column of the PS3 main menu.

  Choose "Update via Internet" from the Settings menu. This starts an online check for the latest version of the system software.

  Select "OK" from the screen that appears. If your PS3 is up to date, it returns you to the main menu. If it is not up to date, it displays the message "The latest update was found" and the version number of the software. Press "OK" to begin the software download. The PS3 automatically installs the update when the download completes, and restarts after installation.
