How to Connect Psyclone Controller to PS3

Psyclone makes controllers and cables for the most popular video game systems, including the PlayStation 3. These controllers are less expensive than the official Sony controllers, but they work in the exact same way. Like the original PS3 controllers, the Psyclones have a wireless connection. In order for them to work, you must sync them with a separate receiver piece. Psyclones are notorious for their syncing problems, but this can almost always be solved--without exchanging the controller for a new one.

  Make sure the controller has charged batteries. If the battery power is low, the controller may not even turn on.

  Insert the Psyclone receiver into the first controller port and turn on the PS3 console.

  Press and hold the "Connect" button on the Psyclone controller until the LED light stops flashing. This activates "Auto Scan," which automatically looks for the signal and connects.

  Hold the "Connect," "Select" and "L3" buttons at the same time, to connect the controller if "Auto Scan" doesn't work. The controller should connect after this.
