How to Upload Movies on a PS3

The Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) video game console is a powerful system that can copy and play movie files (as well as other media) from your computer. However, you must use a file format that is compatible with the PS3, or the movie will not play. With a USB drive containing the movies in the appropriate file formats, uploading the files is a simple matter of navigating the main menu and copying them files to your PS3's hard drive.

  Connect the USB drive to the PS3 by attaching the device to the USB port located on the front of the console.

  Turn on the PS3.

  Navigate the main menu using your controller's "D-pad" and stop on the "Movies" icon (It looks like a roll of film).

  Scroll down to the "Storage Media" icon and select it by pressing the "X" button on your controller to view the movie files on your USB drive.

  Highlight the movie files you wish to upload to your PS3 hard drive and press the "Triangle" button. This will copy the files to your PS3's hard drive.
