Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off your PS3 and disconnect the power cord.
Connect your Ethernet cable to your DSL or cable modem in an Ethernet port at the back of the modem. If you use a router to connect other devices to the Internet, such as a computer, plug the Ethernet cord into the router instead of the modem. If you are using a wireless connection, you do not need an Ethernet cable at all.
Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the back of your PS3. Do not do this if you are using a wireless connection.
Connect your power cord to your PS3 first and then into the wall outlet.
Turn on your modem or router and allow it to sit on for two minutes.
Turn on your PS3 with the power switch on the back of the system and press the power button on the front of the PS3 to turn the system on. Your PS3 will automatically detect your network settings and you are ready to access the Internet with your PS3.
